World Mental Health Day

As part of World Mental Health Day on the 10th October Leigh Academy Paddock Wood and Phoenix Dance joined in with Young Minds #HelloYellow. The main aim of this is to raise awareness of young peoples mental health and to show them they are not alone in any struggles they may have. What they feel matters. We spoke about what is mental health, how they support their mental health and what makes them happy and feel positive. Mental health in our young people has never been so important.

Thanks to your support we managed to raise £234. Donations are still being accepted via MCAs until half term so please, give what you can.

Let’s check in with our children and let them know it’s ok, validate their feelings, thank them for sharing, let them know that you love them, ask them what you can do to help them and spend time together thinking about what’s making them feel this way.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE. WHAT YOU FEEL MATTERS. SAY YES TO YELLOW!
